Day 1 Movement
As we walked onto the bus to leave for the trip everyone was yelling and having a blast before the trip had even started. The transportation of thirty kids was one bus, full of yelling, singing seventh graders and at every turn it seemed like the bus was on its side ready to tip. At the base of Mount Cardigan was the AMC Lodge, where we would, eat, sleep and tell stories. We all ran off the bus right about to go into the lodge when they called us over to play games in the field. These games were a start of a great time.
When we finished the games we all raced trying to find our stuff rummaging through other people's suitcases. Once I finally found mine I ran up 2 flights of stairs room 207 I said to myself do not forget that you will be here for two more days. When I finally got the my room I thought I would be the only one in there so I could pick my bed first but instead I was the last. I got a bottom bunk just as I planed right under my friend. After unpacking it was time to hike. We made our way back downstairs to meet our guides.
For my group the first day was not very interesting. It felt slow becasue we thought we thought we were just going to hike and not stop to sketch. But it was really just hiking two nature trails that were short. But every five to ten minutes it seemed we stopped to sketch a tree when we werent sketching we were exploring. We explored 3 different streams. But one most importantly was the tunnel we found at the end of a steam right next to the road we came on to get to the Lodge. It was GINORMOUS. We walked all the way through the tunnel falling and sliding on the slippery plastic. By the end of the day we all meet in the living room and Mr.Woolner told us a story about pirates. Once the story was over it was time to settle down and go back into our bunks. Waiting for tomorrow to come.
The next day was Thursday
